Salumificio Storti produces genuine and natural cured meats with no artificial preservatives added. This result is possible thanks to some processes which are exclusively artisanal:
- The supply chain is short and checked step-by-step: our meats stem only from pigs being born, bred and butchered in Italy, following a well balanced nourishment.
- We’re sure of the quality of the raw material and we know quite well that it doesn’t need other preservatives different from salt, which is the real natural preservative.
- The time existing from the butchery to the stuffing is really short. This way the whole production process is totally under control and completely safe and sanitized.
We use very low dosages of preservatives only when it’s strictly necessary, that is to say to ensure even more safety standards to the product. This can be done for seasoned salami and for some fresh cured meats.
