CHRISTMAS WITH STORTI: MACCHERONI WITH SAUSAGE, MUSHROOMS AND WALNUT

A CHRISTMAS TASTY MAIN COURSE WITH INTENSE FLAVOURS

Storti celebrates Christmas with its personal Advent calendar! Here you are a short list of simple recipes, ideal for the most joyful time of the year. Easy to prepare and tasty for everybody!

This recipe is all about the classical Storti sausage, one of the most typical products of our territory. A tasty and easy main course which is characterized by genuine and intense flavours of mushrooms and walnuts. Try it with family and friends.

INGREDIENTS FOR TWO PEOPLE:

  • 170 gr of maccheroni
  • 200 gr of Storti sausage
  • 200 gr of champignon mushrooms
  • 10 walnuts
  • 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 250 gr of tomato puree
  • Garlic
  • Pinch of salt
  • 30 ml of white wine

Let’s start by cooking the minced sausage into a pan, simmering with white wine and adding some tomato puree.

While the sausage is cooking into the pan, chop the mushrooms and cook them for some minutes simply adding garlic, oil and salt. Once mushrooms and sausage are ready, add the mushrooms into the pan with the sausage and the tomato.

Now cook the maccheroni – al dente would be ideal – and then, once they’re ready, put them into the pan with sausage and mushrooms, and mix the whole at a high flame.

Let’s dish out. Use some walnut cut in half as decoration and put some minced-up walnut on the maccheroni.
